The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. A stunning image captured early one morning here in Virginia over the calm waters as the mist was rising the moving among the trees and Autumn colors. I felt this piece needed an inspirational quote to go along with it. So I used some painterly effects and what I thought was the perfect quote.
Some cultures regard the autumnal equinox as "mid-autumn", while others with a longer temperature lag treat it as the start of autumn.[2] Meteorologists (and most of the temperate countries in the southern hemisphere)[3] use a definition based on months, with autumn being September, October and November in the northern hemisphere,[4] and March, April and May in the southern hemisphere.
