A beautiful old farm in Bardstown KY after getting some snow. I loved the colors that catch your eye against the snow and how about those beautiful clouds and the blue peeking out from behind them? I used an HDR effect and then added a texture to give the image an aged look. Bardstown KY is know as the Bourbon capital but you see a lot of gorgeous farms too.
First settled in 1780, Bardstown is the second oldest city in Kentucky.[5] Named county seat of the newly created Nelson County, Virginia (now Kentucky) in 1784, the town was formally established in 1788, and was incorporated by the state assembly in 1838.[3]
Reflecting the westward migration of Americans after the Revolutionary War, Bardstown was the first center of Catholicism west of the Appalachian Mountains in the original territory of the United States.[6] The Diocese of Bardstown was established on February 8, 1808, to serve all Catholics between the Appalachians and the Mississippi River, an area now served...
