Description
A gorgeous sunrise here in Kentucky on a beautiful snow day and with two great looking barns. I love these two old barns with their green roof and red stars. This is actually located on the outskirts of Bardstown the Bourbon Capital of the World.
A barn is an agricultural building primarily located on farms and used for many purposes, notably for the housing of livestock and storage of crops. In addition, barns may be used for equipment storage, as a covered workplace, such as threshing. The word barn is also used to describe buildings used for uses such as a tobacco barn or dairy barn. Byre is an archaic word for one type of barn meant for keeping cattle
Bardstown is a 4th-class city in Nelson County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was recorded as 11,700 by the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Nelson County.[2] It is named for the pioneering Bard brothers David, who obtained a 1,000 acres (400 ha) land grant in what was then Jefferson County, Virginia from Governor Patrick Henry, and William, who surveyed and platted the town[1] but was originally chartered as Baird's Town.

wonderful image. I love the contrast in colors and how lines in the land take my eye to the horizon. It also brings to mind the poetry of Kentucky framer/author Wendell Berry. Peace, Sven
